20013 AF Golf Team and Armed Forces Golf Champions




Events Results

The Air Force won the 2013 Armed Forces Men’s Golf Championship, their 10th consecutive Armed Forces Championship.  This championship was hosted by Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina, from 12-19 Sept.

First Lieutenant Thomas Whitney (FE Warren AFB WY) won the Men’s Individual Title, with a great four-round total of 281.  Major Andy Aduddell (Luke AFB AZ) took the silver with a total of 286.  The Air Force won with a total score of 1471, with the Marines Corps second (1493), the Army third (1515), and the Navy fourth (1533).  The Air Force total was based on combined results of Lieutenant Whitney (281), Captain Aduddell (286), TSgt Brent Will of Fort Indiantown Gap PA (299), SMSgt Spencer Mims of JB Langley-Eustis VA (300) and Major Chad Hess of Gainesville VA (305).

The Air Force Women (730) finished third to the Navy (619), Army (686) and the Marine Corp finished fourth (818).  CMSgt Tracie Tolbert (353) of Thompson Field MS and MSgt Karen Griffin of Eglin AFB FL rounded out the Air Force’s two-person team total.
